It's anything, yet everything.
It started as a side gag with a group of Alaskan 5th graders wanting to produce their own comic books. Now, you can say it's an independent creative studio and art practice located in Atlanta, GA.

ABOUT Moi:
QUINCY BATTIESTE
Illustrator / Designer / cartoonIST
"Former Camp Fire Scout. Anchorage, Alaska."
mini bio:
My work lives in a digital and analog environment and is nurtured by a love for storytelling through images and modern technologies. I draw my inspiration from the madness of daily life, contemporary topics, and my everlasting love for film, books, sports, and music.
I love using my art to explore the absurdity of everyday life, to put smiles on people's faces, and to think about the world in new ways. I've been drawing since I was a kid, and I've always been drawn to the power of cartoons to communicate complex ideas in a simple and accessible way. I'm also a big fan of visual storytelling and I love using my art to create worlds that people can lose themselves in.
I'm currently working on a number of projects, including a children's book and as a storyboard artist for an upcoming sci-fi short film. I'm available for freelance work, and always looking for new opportunities to collaborate with other artists and creatives.

JOURNEY
A
(sort of...)
My journey as a cartoonist/illustrator has taken me on a wild ride. I've learned versatile skills, tools, and principles, adapted processes and routines, and even broken with all of them to reinvent myself as a creative. I've come to realize that design is only one part of the ensemble.
To me, design is about striving for that tingling feeling that vaults me out of my comfort zone and makes me explore new disciplines and techniques. It's the inner beat that keeps flowing even when inspiration is low—it only needs the right spark to light up again.

Being a cartoonist/illustrator means growing with every gained perspective and all the challenges that come with it. It's an endless adventure that I wouldn't trade for the world.
CLIENT #1
He's solid, reliable and thoughtful... whose contributions have been many. Cannot wait to work with him again.
CLIENT #2
Quincy is a sponge - eager to soak up all the knowledge about the inner workings of a broadcast facility. He was always eager to assist me or my clients with any issue we might be having or offering to do a quick media transfer to help move the edit session along. I never had to explain something twice to him because he always "got it" the first time - unusual in the broadcast industry. He was always friendly, helpful and reliable at every turn when I needed him.
CLIENT #3
Quincy was a very fun to work with. He is a hard working person who was always very well liked by everyone. Very detail oriented, neat and intelligent. Also an incredibly talented 2d artist. I would enjoy working with Quincy again!
